Working at Foundry North means being close to everything: clients, code, press checks, consequences. Designers sit in on sales calls. Engineers present to clients. Everyone reads the outcome reports, including the ones that missed. If you want to specialise into a narrow lane and stay there, we're the wrong studio — the whole point of staying small is that nobody has to.

We work four days a week in the studio in Ancoats and one wherever you like. Salaries are published on every listing because asking people to guess is a negotiation tactic, not a culture.

Full time · Manchester (4 days studio / 1 remote) · £58,000–£68,000

You sit exactly on the seam between our design and build practices: taking identity and product systems and making them real in the browser, fast and accessible, without losing the sharpness in translation.

Build design systems, marketing sites, and e-commerce front ends
Own performance and accessibility budgets on your projects
Pair with designers from first sketches, not after sign-off
Present built work to clients and defend the decisions in it

You'll bring

5+ years shipping production front-end work
Deep, current React/TypeScript and CSS craft
A portfolio where the build quality is part of the design argument
Comfort working directly with clients

Midweight Brand Designer

Full time · Manchester (4 days studio / 1 remote) · £38,000–£46,000

You'll work under Dominic on identity systems for clients who make real things — from research trips to press checks. Strong typography is the entry requirement; everything else can be learned here.
